한동대, 경북 IB 교육 전문가 양성 선도... 청하중과 MOU 체결
한동대학교는 2025년 4월 15일 청하중학교에서 청하중학교와 국제 바칼로레아(IB) 교육 전문가 양성을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결하며 경북 지역 IB 교육 활성화에 박차를 가하고 있습니다. 이번 협약은 청하중학교의 IB 교육 역량 강화를 위한 것으로, 한동대학교 교수이자 IBEC(IB Educator Certificate) 프로그램 디렉터인 김제니 교수가 참석해 환동해권 미래 인재 양성과 국제교육을 위한 협력 의지를 다졌습니다. 청하중학교는 경북교육청이 지난해 8월 '2025 국제 바칼로레아(IB) 관심학교 공모'를 통해 선정한 도내 10개 학교 중 하나입니다. 이번 협약에 따라 한동대학교는 청하중학교 교사 20여 명을 대상으로 교사 강화 연수를 실시할 계획이며, 오는 4월 28일에는 포항제철고등학교와도 IB 업무협약을 체결할 예정입니다. 포항제철고 교사들은 2025년 2학기부터 한동대학교 IBEC의 DP 프로그램에 참여하게 됩니다.
Handong Global University Signs MOU with Cheongha Middle School to Strengthen IB Education in Gyeongbuk Region
On April 15, 2025, Handong Global University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Cheongha Middle School to foster IB (International Baccalaureate) education experts, further accelerating the promotion of IB education in the Gyeongbuk region. The agreement aims to enhance Cheongha Middle School’s IB education capabilities. Professor Jenny Kim, Director of the IB Educator Certificate (IBEC) Program at Handong Global University, attended the signing ceremony, reaffirming both institutions' commitment to nurturing future talent in the Pan-East Sea region and advancing international education initiatives. Cheongha Middle School is one of ten schools selected by the Gyeongbuk Office of Education in August 2024 through its “2025 IB Candidate Schools” public recruitment program. Under this agreement, Handong Global University plans to provide professional development training for approximately 20 teachers at Cheongha Middle School. Additionally, on April 28, the university is scheduled to sign another MOU with Pohang Jecheol High School. Teachers from Pohang Jecheol High School will begin participating in Handong’s IBEC Diploma Programme (DP) course starting in the second semester of 2025.

한동대학교, 경북교육청과 IB 교육전문가 양성 협약 체결
한동대학교는 2025년 4월 4일 경북교육청 웅비관에서 경북교육청과 IB 교육 전문가 양성을 위한 업무협약을 맺어 (비)학위 교육과정 운영, 전문 교원 역량 강화 프로그램 개발, 경북형 IB 모델 구축을 위한 협력 체계를 강화하기로 했습니다. 한동대학교는 2021년부터 경북 최초로 IBEC 과정을 운영하고 있으며, 2024년에는 제주, 경기, 서울, 전북, 충북 교육청 소속 교사들과 포항여고 교사 등 지금까지 300명 이상 전국 교사에게 IBEC 수업을 제공했습니다. 2025년에는 더 확대되어 서울, 경기, 충북, 대전, 전북 교육청과 동영유치원, 이본/이바 유치원, 포항여고 등 208명의 교사들에게 IBEC 과정을 제공하고 있습니다.
Handong Global University Signs MOU with Gyeongbuk Office of Education to Foster IB Education Experts
On April 4, 2025, Handong Global University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Gyeongbuk Office of Education at Woongbi Hall to promote the development of IB education experts. Through this agreement, the two institutions will strengthen cooperation in the operation of (non-)degree programs, the development of professional training programs to enhance teacher competencies, and the establishment of a Gyeongbuk-style IB education model. Since 2021, Handong Global University has been operating the IB Expert Certificate (IBEC) program—the first of its kind in Gyeongbuk Province. By 2024, the university had provided IBEC courses to more than 300 teachers across the nation, including educators from the Jeju, Gyeonggi, Seoul, Jeonbuk, and Chungbuk Offices of Education, as well as Pohang Girls’ High School. In 2025, the program is expanding further, offering IBEC courses to 208 teachers from the Seoul, Gyeonggi, Chungbuk, Daejeon, and Jeonbuk Offices of Education, as well as Dongyoung Kindergarten, Ibon/Iba Kindergartens, and Pohang Girls’ High School. Handong Global University remains committed to cultivating educational leaders who will drive the advancement and dissemination of IB education nationwide.

한동대학교는 2025년 3월 19일 대전교육청과 대학 연계 IB 전문가(IBEC) 양성을 위한 위탁 협약을 체결하여 대전광역시 교육청 소속 교원들을 위한 1년 비학위과정을 운영하기로 했습니다. 한동대학교는 IB 교육 관련 전문 인력을 양성하고, 대전교육청은 IB 교육 도입 및 확산을 위해 협력합니다.
On March 19, 2025, Handong Global University signed an agreement with the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education to operate a one-year non-degree program for teachers affiliated with the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education, aimed at cultivating university-linked IB Experts (IBEC). Handong Global University will systematically nurture professional personnel in IB education, while the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education will collaborate to promote the introduction and expansion of IB education.
